All That Jazz
While enjoying soulful food, the community was entertained by Binghamton University’s Harpur Jazz Conspiracy! The group provided soulful beats, and really set the ambiance for the event.
Exploring African Culture Through Dance
As the evening progressed, the energy in the room reached new heights when Professor Samuel Elikem Kwame Nyamuame from Binghamton University hosted an African dance
class. This interactive session allowed community members to get moving and immerse themselves in the rich cultural traditions of African dance.
Professor Nyamuame, with his deep understanding of African heritage and dance forms, guided participants through the steps and rhythms, showing how dance can be a powerful tool for cultural expression and unity. Whether experienced dancers or first-timers, the group had a blast as they embraced the music, movement, and cultural significance behind the steps.
