With the weather getting inevitably colder every day as we enter the later months of the year, United Way of Broome County has kicked off a Warm Winter Accessories Holiday Drive, now until December 31.
To support those in need in our community, United Way of Broome County is seeking the following new items:
- Earmuffs
- Gloves
- Hats
- Mittens
- Neckies
- Scarves
- Socks
- Gift cards that can be used to purchase such items are also accepted
These items can be dropped off at the United Way of Broome County offices at 101 South Jensen Road in Vestal.

Items will be distributed to those in need through the following organizations:
- Deposit’s Closet
- Deposit Food Pantry
- Deposit Schools
- First Presbyterian Church of Johnson City
- Mothers & Babies
- Mother Teresa’s Pantry
- Whitney Point Senior Center
