The Catholic Charities of Broome County is one of the many community-based organizations deliver programs at the front line of hunger. In 2022, Catholic Charities of Broome County food pantries served 41,851 people through 627,765 meals doubling that of 2021.
When people face hunger, they often struggle to meet other basic needs. With rising costs of housing, healthcare, and more, the issues of hunger continue to plague the most vulnerable in our community. The demand for emergency food has grown as inflation has increased.
United Way of Broome County has teamed up with local community organizations fighting hunger, including Catholic Charities of Broome County, for the Full Plate Project.
The Full Plate Project is an opportunity for you to give back to the community in more ways than one. You can help ensure everyone in Broome County has access to healthy foods while supporting local organizations that tackle the underlying causes of problems to create lasting solutions.
TOGETHER, WE CAN CHANGE THE STORY.
