An integral characteristic of United Way of Broome County’s Emerging Leaders Society is their ongoing dedication to giving back to the community. On top of furthering their leadership development and professional relationships, their philanthropic values are at the heart of all of their work.
As a means to recruit and connect, ELS is hosting a Networking+ event on March 3 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Burger Monday’s in downtown Binghamton. So, what’s the plus in Networking+? ELS is partnering with the YWCA of Binghamton and Broome County to bring awareness to their great work and accept donations to benefit the YWCA.
HERE’S A GLIMPSE AT THE GREAT WORK BEING DONE AT OUR LOCAL YWCA
For over 125 years, the YWCA has provided meaningful contributions to enhancing women’s quality rights and critical human service needs across Broome County. It has served as a beacon of light for women and girls in the hope for fulfillment of healthy and productive lives.
The YWCA offers a variety of programs and recourses, ranging from housing support, childcare, and educational opportunities. The Young Wonders Early Childhood Center strives to provide a loving, caring, learning environment where families, children, and staff are given the respect, commitment, and attention that each individual deserves. In providing childcare, families gain the availability to work and succeed in their careers.
We invite you to be a part of this special night! Register here and be aware that ELS will be accepting cash donations or donations of necessities, including twin sheets and comforters, thin blankets, pillows, socks, feminine products, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste.
