This year’s Day of Action, held on June 9 and 10 was a huge success!
Our community came together and rallied over 215 Volunteers at 25 projects. Volunteers gave 710 hours of their time, resulting in $25,350 given back to Broome County! (Using the New York State hourly volunteer value of $35.71 as determined by Independent Sector.) We can’t thank our volunteers for their impact, great work and passion!
DAY OF CARING IS NEAR! On September 15 and 16, 2023, United Way of Broome County will host its largest single-day volunteer event, Day of Caring. Friends, families, workplaces, and teams are invited to get together to volunteer to support local health and human service agencies, as well as parks and attractions. With an array of projects on both Friday and Saturday, volunteers participating in Day of Caring are sure to make a lasting change in our community.
