The 2020 Census & COVID-19

Schools, restaurants, stores, and businesses close, sports canceled, and events postponed. Although our community has been experiencing rapid changes due to the effects of COVID-19, many essential practices continue to operate. The 2020 census being no exception.

 

 

The census is a crucial practice for the people of America to partake in. It is used to determine each state’s number of representatives in the U.S. House of Representatives and determines how federal spending is allocated.

 

Arguably, with the chaos that is ensuing in relation to COVID-19, the census is more important now than ever. With the copious amounts of emergency government spending, it is critical that there be an accurate count of the people, in order for this spending to be allocated properly.

 

 

 

 

 

April 1 is Census Day, a key reference date for the 2020 Census. When completing the census, you will include everyone living in your home on April 1, 2020.

 

 

Make sure that you do your part, in the midst of the craziness our country is going through, and submit the census for your household. It has never been easier to take the census. You can now submit the census online, over the phone, or by mail.
