This year, United Way of Broome County unveiled its new 3-year Community Commitment with a vision of Revitalizing Collaboration, Inspiring Giving, and Unifying Efforts and Resources. One method employed to accomplish this vision is done by hosting supportive services and sharing resources with community-based organizations to move us beyond. United Way of Broome County began this work last year at the 1st Annual Partnering for a Purpose, held on November 1, 2018, at the Holiday Inn Binghamton. What better way to boost our work with local community-based organizations than by hosting a day of networking and learning together? Breakout sessions at last year’s event focused on volunteer recruitment, grant-writing, social media & engagement, board development, and more.
This year, we’re back and better than ever! The 2nd Annual Partnering for a Purpose will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Binghamton. Our focus for 2019 is on increasing community collaboration and sharing best practices for organizational effectiveness.
