Now, more than
ever, your support of United Way makes a major difference in our community!
Through your donation, United Way helps your friends and neighbors most in need
of assistance. It helps those people right here at home to improve their lives.
Through direct
support of a vast array of programs and services that benefit Broome County
residents from every walk of life, United Way makes it possible for just one
person to make a difference. Most of the funds donated to United Way support
health and human services programs at United Way's 29 local
member agencies.
Donations also support Venture and Special Assistance Grants each year, funds for United Way’s five direct service programs, and donor-designated funds to non-member agencies. All together, United Way of Broome County supports more than 100 programs and services that assist community residents in six areas of community service (click on a link below to obtain more information about the programs in each area).
These programs reach hundreds of your neighbors every day. United Way funded programs provided assistance to local people more than 190,000 times last year. Most people receive support from United Way some time during their lives. A United Way funded program may assist you during the coming year.
