Community Solution Teams |
Community Solution Teams (CST) actively engage community stakeholders in order to effectively develop, implement, and evaluate community investment strategies.
Primary Responsibilities
Community Investment Strategy Report In consultation with community stakeholders and content experts, the CST will develop a 15- year goal. This goal will then serve as the basis for the development of an action plan. The action plan will define specific services, opportunities, and supports for which United Way will leverage community resources and fund community partners. Action plans will cover a 3- year period and will be evaluated annually.
Community Partner Program Funding Based on the Community Investment Strategy Report, the CST will solicit community partners to deliver specific services, opportunities, and supports as outlined in the action plan. Once partners have been selected, the CST will be responsible for providing ongoing support to ensure the success of the funded partners. The CST will also be responsible for implementing the system of ongoing evaluation of and feedback to funded partners as determined by the Community Impact Cabinet. In the event a funded partner is unable to deliver the services, opportunities, and supports as expected, the CST may recommend corrective action which may include a variety of steps up to and including termination of any funding.
Venture Grant Monitoring The CST will be responsible for monitoring Venture Grants within its assigned area of investment. The CST will work with Venture Grant recipients to help integrate any learning from the project into the delivery of services, opportunities, and supports offered by other funded partners. The CST will monitor Venture Grants in accordance with United Way policy.
Meeting Schedule
Each Community Solution Team will meet at least four times per year. Additional meetings of the individual teams and or sub-committees will be called at the discretion of the chair.
The recommendations of each Community Solution Team are reviewed by the Community Impact Cabinet, and ultimately are approved by Board of Directors of United Way of Broome County.
