As Halloween approaches, parents everywhere are getting ready to crack wide their wallets and fork over $20, $30, $40 or more for a costume their child will wear only once or twice. After that, the costume clutters a closet. Why not do something special with those Halloween costumes! We invite you to participate in this year’s Halloween Costume Exchange and Autumn Celebration sponsored by United Way of Broome County and Vestal Rotary Club.
Here’s how it works:
Now- October 6, 2017 bring your clean, gently used children’s Halloween costumes to United Way of Broome County, 101 S. Jensen Road, Vestal NY.
For each costume you donate, you’ll receive a Swap Voucher, with a limit of one ticket per child in your family (though we are happy to accept donations of extra costumes). Bring your Swap Vouchers back to United Way of Broome County on October 14th, between 10:00am and 1:00pm and choose a new-to-you costume for each Voucher. We will also have Halloween treats, crafts and cider & donut refreshments!
Don’t have any costumes to donate, but still want to participate?
We invite you to join! We will have extra costumes for participants!
Have an attic full of good condition costumes that your grown children no longer need?
Donate them to the Halloween Costume Exchange and help increase the selection for participating children. We ask that all participants take only one costume per child, as any leftover costumes will be donated to our community partners, where they can go on to benefit others in our community.
