Get Involved

For nearly 100 years, United Way of Broome County has improved conditions in the community to help our friends and neighbors lead more successful lives. We work to advance the common good with a focus on education, income and health, because these are the building blocks for a good quality of life. We recruit the people and organizations from all across the community who bring the passion, expertise and resources needed to get this done.

We invite you to be part of the change. You can give, you can advocate and you can volunteer. That's what it means to Live United.

Through your generosity, United Way continues to be ones of the largest non-government funders of health and human service programs in Broome County. Your gift stays local and 100% of your donation goes back in the community. Any amount, even a dollar a week, makes a real difference in our commmunity. We leverage your donation with corporate gifts, foundation grants, volunteer manpower, and other generous sources to maximize our impact on our community. You can make a secure online donation in a matter of minutes and learn about other ways you can make a monitary gift. Every donation counts. If your company or organizatio is interested in a workplace campaign, please contact Tom Connors or Susan Newcomb.

By leveraging dollars and other resources with businesses, non-profits and foundations, United Way of Broome County is able to partner with you to advocate for the betterment of our community.  You can inspire others to step up and make a difference.  Like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter to get started. Encourage your friends and family to do the same. We all win when a child succeeds in school, when a neighborhood turns around, when families have good health and workers have solid jobs. It takes our whole community working together to reach our mutual goals and it takes an entire community to make a difference, and we need you.

Put your time and talent to work. There is power and impact in working together, United as a community. With numerous volunteer opportunities available, we will make a lasting change. United Way volunteers are making a difference in the lives of community members in need. Find a unique opportunity that fits your interests. Lend your heart and your muscle to a cause important to you.  Together we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow. We invite you to be a part of the change.
