Annual North Side Block Party

The Annual North Side Community Block Party is back again! This year, the annual event will be held at Cheri Lindsey Park, August 19th from Noon- 3 pm.
The Block Party was created for community members who searched for an outlet to celebrate the community they live in. Eat Well. Play Hard. Binghamton!, part of the Healthy Lifestyles Coalition, is housed at the Lee Barta Community Center, 108 Liberty Street , worked with the community to make the event a reality.

This year, the event will showcase a healthy, locally preparedmeal that will be served alongside family friendly events. Stop by and visit with North Side organizations such as Cornell Cooperative extension, VINES, CHOW, Binghamton Food Rescue, Binghamton Police, New York State Police, the Binghamton Fire Department, Department of Public Art, Opportunities for Broome, United Health Care, Centenary Chenango Church, and much more! You will even have the chance to visit a SWAT truck and see the Binghamton Police Canine Unit.

The most exciting part of the Block Part is the school supply and backpack give-away. Supplies are limited and are for children K-12. Child must be present. In 2016, almost 200 kids received school supplies and this year, we hope to serve over  400 kids!
