Volunteer Week 2014

National Volunteer Week, April 6-12, 2014, is about inspiring, recognizing and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities. United Way, Southern Tier Volunteers, and our partners will be holding several events over the week, for the public and professionals alike.

Wednesday, April 9

Volunteer Fair - 12pm-3pm
Volunteers make all the difference for local programs, and area non-profits want to talk to you! This volunteer fair offers one-stop-shopping for volunteer opportunities across a range of service areas. Don't miss out on this chance to engage with over 20 local organizations and learn more about their missions, programs, and how you can help make a difference in our community.

American Red Cross Blood Drive - 12pm-6pm
The need is constant. The gratification is instant. By providing a few minutes of your time at the volunteer fair, you can help change lives. By providing a pint of blood, you can help save lives.
