February 11th marks the 6th anniversary for the 2-1-1 Susquehanna Rivier Region that serves Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Otsego, and Tioga Counties. The nationally recognized "2-1-1 Day" celebrates the free, confidential, easy to remember phone number that connects area residents to essential community information and services such as healthcare, rent and mortgage assistance, food and shelter, job training, transportation, childcare, senior care, veteran services and much more. More than 100 times a day, the phone rings at the 2-1-1 call center, a service of the United Way of Broome County. Callers who are seeking help but don’t know where to turn are able to utilize 2-1-1 that provides a 24/7 one-stop gateway to vital information for everyone.
In the US, no matter where you live, or what language you speak, 2-1-1 is here for you.
